Light is made up of different wavelengths, some of which can be harmful to the eye, such as ultraviolet light, more commonly known as UV radiation, and blue-violet light. Within the wavelength range of blue light, two types are distinguished, namely, blue-turquoise light, which is essential for our health and harmful blue-violet light, which has a range of wavelengths close to that of UV light. According to research, blue-violet light is the most damaging light to the retina, and may cause gradual damage to retinal cells.
However, certain spectacle lenses can help protect the human eye from harmful light radiation. The Eye Protect System lenses protect our eyes from harmful rays with a unique built-in filter system.
